Everyone is thinking Lidar is still too expensive for automotive mass-production projects. Even today, 15 years after the DARPA Grand Challenge when Lidar was first used for autonomous driving, there is still only one Lidar maker who successfully put its Lidar sensor into a public available OEM car model. From where I believe, cost is as important as reliability for OEM to consider massive adoption, however seems like different people has different mind-sets towards the discussable price level. Some European industrial suppliers are talking about $1000/pcs for luxury car brands' initial projects.

Most of LiDAR companies are taking detour to reach mass production level and I think Livox is not the only one but definitely the few who stick on the right track! Bravo!
