Hello Livox Team.

We are working with your mid-100 and avia lidars. Lately one of the mid-100 units gives an error status when working outside. Please see the screenshot attached.

It started a week ago, when it was rather cold, -15 or -18 deg ℃.
As soon as we noticed this error state, we turned off mid-100. But since then this problem
repeats every day when lidar is outside: this particular mid-100 is working routinely for 20-30 minutes and enters an error state or shutdowns.

When inspected with Livox viewer, sometimes we can see that one of the mid-40 of which mid-100 consists is missing, and the other two in error state.
However, the rest of the lidars on the car are in a normal state.

Can this be due to the fact that this unit is located in the direction of the vehicle and therefore freezes more than others (picture attached)?  Or is it related to something else?

Hope you can guide us with what we should do in this case and how we can work out this error state.

Regards,
Gleb Bulygin

The temperature has a great influence on the radar motor. First, you can check whether your radar has the latest firmware. You can put the radar at room temperature and restart it several times.
