Hi,
has anyone made a mapping project using something like the Pixhawk 6x  which has tripple redundency and fast IMU's at a fraction of the cost compared to APX-15 ?

It would also allow the use of a RTK GPS receiver like this one: https://shop.holybro.com/h-rtk-f9p-gnss-series_p1226.html

Or better still have an all-in one solution with the new Pixhawk RPi CM4 Baseboard + using the RTK GPS receiver. + Mid-40

https://shop.holybro.com/pixhawk-rpi-cm4-baseboard_p1347.html

This would allow to achieve everything needed in one compact and low weight solution at a very low cost. = Precission mapping for less than USD 2500.-

A more modern solution to the "Livox Showcase - UAV 3D Mapping"     https://www.livoxtech.com/showcase/1

I have written some software to process attitude and locational data from mavros along with raw livox data to derive georeferenced point clouds. The results weren't that bad, actually. Feel free to email me. madnadirmapping AT gmail DOT com
